Dawn Princess - Monday 18 January, Sea Day 2

We did some more exploring of the ship, ate a lot and spent time on our balcony. We could get use to this!

Morning cuppa (and a bit of a dud danish)

The Vista Lounge

Wheelhouse Bar

Seriously yummy lunch, always!

The food, oh my, the food is amazing! The staff and service is the best we've ever had (and this didn't change throughout our cruise). We could certainly see the difference between P&O and Princess. We love P&O and Princess is just that step up, with everything. Just a little fancier. More efficient and little extras that you don't miss on P&O but are a lovely touch. For example, table service in the Horizon Buffet - there are so many waiters who not only clear the tables but also offer to get your tea, coffee and orange juice/water etc. We even saw them getting food for some passengers.

The Atrium and the Champagne Waterfall

The bar service is also much, much better than both P&O and Carnival. Generally on our other cruises we have had to search out a waiter or go to the bar and then half the time they didn't have the wine we wanted so we would have to try another bar. Not on the Dawn Princess, the waiters always came to us and if we decided to go to a bar ourselves they always had our wine or made sure they got it for us and didn't make us go searching for it. Thumbs up from us!

One of THE best spots on the ship!
Can you tell we're loving our cruise! Oh, and did I say how amazing the food is!!??
