Dawn Princess - Tuesday 19 January, Sea Day 3

Our third sea day before we arrive at our first port. It's been nice having a few days at sea to just relax and do whatever we want to do, which has generally been as little as possible!

Getting ready for another relaxing day!

We did relax in other parts of the ship - Riviera Deck 12

We've settled into our routine of getting tea & coffee delivered in the morning (around 7am) - their room service is all included, no charge. We only used it for our morning cuppa but, especially having a balcony, would be great to get room service for lunch and eat it on the balcony! Next time ;-)

Today we decided to try our the Pizzeria for lunch - one word YUM! The Pizzeria is a separate restaurant on deck 7 with table service and seemed to be very popular. Not surprising as the pizzas were delicious! They have a set menu with 8 different types of pizzas. I went for the marguerita and mum had the pepperoni. We were definitely coming back!

3 pepperoni! ;-)

Deck 7 was the walking deck. It was very popular and could get quite busy. You could walk the whole way around the deck. On other ships it has been the top deck that's the walking deck but this ship is slightly different - you can't walk all the way around the top outside deck as the buffet and grill are there. Another difference is the buffet is at the front of the ship and the main dining restaurants are in the middle of the deck. For whatever reason this took as a little bit to get use to!

Deck 7 - the walking, jogging, running deck

The atrium is gorgeous, very fancy. A great place to sit and people watch. It seemed busier than the P&O atriums, I think it was just how it's set out and used. More public spaces to sit and relax. Also, possibly having the restaurants just off the atrium meant there were always more people going through it to eat. There are glass lifts in the atrium, glass lifts seemed to make things 'fancier'!

We did see land tonight - I'm sure the captain told us what we were passing but I can't remember now.
